Position Overview:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of service, quality, and customer satisfaction meet the high standards of Aja Honestly Good Food. This role involves managing the front-of-house team, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining a positive, guest-focused atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Management:
o Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
o Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency in service and quality.
o Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of food.
o Monitor and manage inventory, placing orders and maintaining stock levels to meet demand without excess waste.
• Customer Experience:
o Ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their visit.
o Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, resolving any issues to ensure a positive dining experience.
o Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects Aja’s commitment to community and sustainability.
• Team Leadership:
o Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, ensuring that all team members understand and embody the values of Aja Honestly Good Food.
o Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing development and adherence to service standards.
o Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak times while controlling labor costs.
o Lead by example, setting the tone for a positive and motivated work environment.
• Financial Management:
o Manage the restaurant’s budget, monitoring revenue, expenses, and labor costs to meet financial goals.
o Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to drive growth.
o Assist in preparing financial reports and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Compliance & Safety:
o Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
o Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to ensure cleanliness and organization.
o Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes, making necessary adjustments to operations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fast-casual or health-focused dining environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
• Proficiency in inventory management, scheduling, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
