Job Description
As a Commis 2, you will be responsible for assisting the senior chefs and Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking dishes according to the restaurant’s high standards.
Responsibilities:
● Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, such as washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
● Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and portion control standards.
● Ensure that food preparation areas are clean and sanitized.
● Follow established recipes and techniques to prepare dishes.
● Assist in cooking and plating dishes as directed by the senior chefs.
● Monitor food quality and report any issues to the senior chefs.
● Assist in the inventory management of food items.
● Work with other team members to ensure that food is prepared and served on time.
● Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and equipment.
● Perform other duties as assigned by the senior chefs.
