*Job Title: Maintenance and Support Technician (MST)*
*Job Summary:*
The Maintenance and Support Technician (MST) is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the hotel’s facilities and equipment. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to handle various maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively. The MST plays a critical role in maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for guests and employees.
*Responsibilities:*
– Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs, to ensure the proper functioning of the hotel’s facilities.
– Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any maintenance issues and promptly address them to prevent potential hazards or disruptions.
– Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff, and resolve issues in a timely and courteous manner to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
– Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance services that fall outside the scope of in-house capabilities.
– Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair logs, equipment inventories, and service contracts, to ensure a comprehensive and organized maintenance system.
– Implement preventive maintenance schedules to proactively address potential equipment failures and extend the lifespan of hotel assets.
– Uphold safety and security standards by adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols and ensuring the proper functioning of safety equipment, such as fire alarms and emergency lighting.
– Assist in the procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment, and monitor inventory levels to ensure an adequate stock of necessary materials.
*Requirements:*
– High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training are a plus.
– Proven experience in general maintenance work, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
– Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as basic carpentry and painting skills.
– Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly assess and address maintenance issues.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and external service providers.
– Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance to ensure a high standard of facility upkeep.
– Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
