11th September 2024 – Hong Kong – BluHouse, the Italian-inspired restaurant located within Rosewood Hong Kong, proudly announces the launch of BluLunch, a unique dining experience showcasing the talents of graduates from the BluUp Upskilling Programme, developed in partnership with the local NGO LoveXpress. This initiative reflects BluHouse’s commitment to inclusivity and community empowerment, providing a platform for autistic youth to showcase their culinary skills and achievements.
The BluLunch experience will be available every Tuesday, offering guests a delightful three-course set lunch priced at HK$348+10% per guest. Diners can enjoy a selection of dishes such as Octopus Salad, Slow-cooked Chicken Salad, Eggplant Parmigiana, Rigatoni Pasta, and Pork & Beef Meatballs, followed by assorted mini pastries. Guests will have the opportunity to engage with the BluUp graduates, learning about their journeys and celebrating their success.
BluUp, developed by BluHouse in collaboration with LoveXpress, is an innovative training programme that provides youths with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those on the autism spectrum, with essential skills for personal and professional growth. Graduates of the programme may secure full-time positions at BluHouse, opening doors for long-term careers in hospitality.
BluHouse is committed to creating equal opportunities for all members of the community, supporting groups such as single mothers, refugees, and individuals with disabilities. The restaurant allocates 1% of its revenue to support underserved communities in its neighborhood, making Rosewood Hong Kong one of the group’s Trailblazer properties known for its progressive social and environmental efforts.
