Spices Board Announces Recruitment for Spice Extension Trainees

The Spices Board of India has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Spice Extension Trainees, targeting candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities. This initiative provides training in the agriculture sector, aiming to foster skill development and inclusive growth.

Position Details and Eligibility

A total of five trainees will be selected for locations across India, including:

  • Regional Office, Unjha, Gujarat
  • Regional Office, Mumbai, Maharashtra
  • Field Office, Patna, Bihar
  • Field Office, Koraput, Odisha
  • Field Office, Paderu, Andhra Pradesh

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Botany, Microbiology, or Biotechnology and should be below 35 years of age as of the test date. Computer proficiency is also required.

Training Duration and Walk-In Test

The training program lasts for one year, with an option for a one-year extension based on performance. Walk-in tests are scheduled for October 18, 2024, at 9 am. Candidates applying for Unjha, Patna, and Mumbai will attend the walk-in at their respective offices. Applicants for the Paderu office should report to the Spices Board Regional Office in Guntur, and those for the Koraput office should report to the District Skill Development cum Employment Office & Model Career Centre in Koraput.
